Tribute Film Classics has won a Sammy Film Music Award from American Music Preservation. Bernard Herrmann’s score to THE KENTUCKIAN has won in the category of Best Newly Recorded Vintage Score.
These movie awards are named in the honor of lyricist, Sammy Cahn 1913-1993. The Sammys are announced each year for the best film music related CDs, and are chosen by Roger Hall, a respected film music historian, ASCAP composer, and author of A Guide to Film Music, and editor of Film Music Review.
